Unassembled Comb Assistant (Unassembled w/o frame)

Please do not order if the INTERNAL dimensions of your frame are ANY smaller than the following dimensions:

Medium Langstroth – 17″ x 5 1/8″

Deep Langstroth – 17″x8″

The Comb assistant has very tight tolerances to match the standard Langstroth frames. So, if the internal dimensions are any bit less than the above mentioned measurement, please do not order.

The Comb Assistant is a wooden substructure for Medium Langstroth Frames. You assemble the kit and secure it into the frame using locking wedges. You only need to supply the Frame and some bees wax. (The frame is not included) Instructions and additional information can be found on our website: https://www.runningwildapiaries.com/medium-langstroth-instructions

A couple of advantages to using The Comb Assistant:

– Allows the Bees to create foundationless honeycomb in small sections that are perfect for Cut Honeycomb

– Stabilizes foundationless frames of honeycomb

– Cut Comb can be harvested without having to have the bees draw out the entire frame

– You do not have to dedicate a super to comb honey
